Testicle festival drops on Arlington

It’s well and good to don cocktail dresses and bowties and stand in line for Chick-fil-A, but now that Taste of the South is over, it’s time to move on to a less demure state society-sponsored affair: the Montana State Society’s 8th Annual Testicle Festival returns to Arlington on Saturday.

For 25 bucks, Legends of the Ball attendees will have unlimited access to beer and “Rocky Mountain oysters,” aka bull calf testicles. Society president Jed Link tells Yeas & Nays that this year’s delicacies will be sized “a little more like French fries” compared to last year’s. “Last year the chef cut them a lot thicker and had a bready sauce,” Link explained. “So they were kind of big.” Look for more thinly sliced testes this time around.

And for the style-minded attendee who is unsure of what to wear to a ball-eating party, Link added, “We don’t have a dress code.”
