Clinton: Trump might lead to ‘Scandal’ style presidency

Hillary Clinton implied Monday that electing Donald Trump to the White House might lead the country into the sort of trouble that President Fitzgerald Grant gets into all the time on the hit show “Scandal.”

“I hope nothing like what happens on ‘Scandal’ happens in the real world. But, then I think about Donald Trump then I get worried,” the Democratic presidential candidate told a crowd in Lynwood, Calif.

Clinton was joined by actor Tony Goldwyn who plays President Grant on the popular ABC show during the campaign stop Monday.

Former president Bill Clinton and the former secretary of state have often been compared to the show’s president and first lady. Goldwyn’s character is known for a high profile affair and womanizing, as his wife embarks on her own presidential bid.
