Despite efforts to boycott the First Daughter’s fashion line because of political opposition aimed at her father, Ivanka Trump’s brand has shot up in sales over the past couple of weeks.
In fact, Ivanka’s fragrance line is a number-one bestseller in Amazon‘s entire Eau de parfum category. Most of the reviews on her perfume brand are positive ones from verified buyers. Many of the negative reviews, most of which seem to be from non-verified buyers, contain political comments against her father.
Amazon is one of the largest online retailers to carry and feature Ivanka’s shoes and apparel. Other stores such as Bloomingdale’s Lord and Taylor, and Macy’s are selling her brand on their website.
According to USA Today, many retailers that are still selling Ivanka’s products are trying to be subtle about it so as not to attract political opposition. TJX, the owner of Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, for example, has instructed its staff members to blend Ivanka’s products with other brands instead of featuring them in their own section.
