Hillary: No Bill in my Cabinet

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton poured ice water on the idea of Bill Clinton serving in her Cabinet should she win the White House.

Clinton was asked the question twice during a campaign stop in Paducah, Ky., Monday.

She finally shook her head and mouthed, “No,” according to ABC.

The clarification comes after comments made at a rally Sunday in Covington, Ky., in which she said she planned to put the former president “in charge of revitalizing the economy” because he “knows how to do it.”

“It would be getting ahead of oneself to talk about any sort of formalized role for anyone in your administration, which she has said many times with regard to vice presidential speculation and the like, but I think that her point has been time and again that as I said, he has a lot to offer and it would be foolish not to use that in some capacity. It has not gone any further than that,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told reporters Monday.

Earlier at a May campaign event in Kentucky, Clinton explained that her husband would be needed to help boost manufacturing and jobs.
