This week’s Mainstream Media Scream features CBS 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl questioning those who say the media is on the side of Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.
On Fox’s “MediaBuzz” Sunday, she maintained the media are not pro-Hillary Clinton, pushing back against host Howard Kurtz: “I’ve never bought that.”

Howard Kurtz: “Many people think the media love Hillary Clinton, but she’s had her own history of testy relations with journalists. Why is that?”
Lesley Stahl: “Who says the media loves Hillary?”
Kurtz: “There’s a lot of people out there who think the liberal press wants Hillary Clinton to win.”
Stahl: “Yeah, I’ve heard that, but I don’t think — I’ve never bought that, you know. Having covered the White House through Democrat Jimmy Carter and Reagan following, I mean, Reagan got a much softer, easier press than Jimmy Carter did so, I mean, when people look behind what they’re saying and feeling, they’ll see that the evidence isn’t there. I think that the press is much more biased against power, real power, than you know, against one party or the next.”
Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains the pick: “Talk about living in a bubble. Who outside of the Manhattan-based media elite think the media have been anything but pro-Hillary Clinton since the day she emerged on the national stage, only grudgingly covering any bad news about her? And, between Clinton and Trump, is there any real doubt as to who journalists will favor?”
Rating: Four out of five screams.
