A U.S. Park Police sergeant who died while responding to an incident at the Key Bridge will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
The funeral for Sgt. Michael Boehm will be held at the Church of the Nativity in Burke at 10 a.m. A processional from the church to the U.S. Park Police headquarters in the District will take place before Boehm is buried at Fairfax Memorial Park.
Boehm collapsed while trying to help a man who plunged from the Key Bridge on Dec. 16.
Park Police say motorists should expect heavy traffic along the procession’s route and some roads will be closed.
