District police have arrested an 18-year-old man, charging him with second-degree murder for a fatal shooting that occurred in January.

Police say Michael Galloway, of the District, shot Navarro Brown, 18, on Jan. 10. Brown was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 3200 block of 23rd Street, Southeast, and ultimately died at a nearby hospital, police said.

Authorities took Galloway into custody on Saturday, more than seven months after the shooting in question took place.
