U.S. Park Police say someone fired a gun at a “party bus” in a possible road-rage incident on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
The shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, when a bus was taking the northbound ramp to the parkway from New York Avenue.
Police said there might have been some “interactions” between people on the bus — which was carrying about 50 people — and another car. The bus stopped in the parkway median and the car stopped in front of the bus.
A passenger in the car then fired a gun at the bus’ windshield, police said. The round went through the glass but no one was hit.
Police are looking for an older-model black four-door BMW with a D.C. license plate. The BMW driver was a black man and the shooter was a light-complexioned black man wearing a white t-shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call Park Police at 202-610-8737.
