Sarah Palin to GOP Establishment: ‘You didn’t build this!’

A victory by any other name would smell as sweet — but not for Sarah Palin.

In a Facebook post early Wednesday night, after Republicans officially won control of Congress, the former Republican vice presidential nominee praised the victorious GOP candidates, but warned against the party interpreting the results as something they are not.

“Please realize that Americans were not necessarily voting FOR any party; they were voting AGAINST the continued dysfunction and corruption in D.C.,” she wrote.

She also cautioned the Republicans against returning to “business as usual.”

“Will they drain the swamp or decide the D.C. cesspool is really just a jacuzzi they can’t wait to jump on into and shake us off?

“So, establishment types, remember that you didn’t build this!” she concluded, trolling President Obama and his notorious 2012 campaign trail gaffe. “This majority that swept you into power tonight is thanks to the rank and file commonsense conservative grassroots. That’s who built it. And they expect results.”
