Lou Dobbs celebrates White House ban on CNN reporter

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs said Wednesday it is about time the White House enacted consequences against reporters’ “disrespectful behavior” toward President Trump.

CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins said she was told Wednesday by top White House communications staffers that she was being disinvited to an open press event in the afternoon for shouting questions at the president in the Oval Office.

“I guess my question would be, ‘Who the hell are you?’ The president does insist on respect,” Dobbs said.

“That’s what the White House has to put up with? Are you kidding me? Anyway, all I have to say about that is it’s about time there were consequences for disrespectful behavior in the White House,” he continued.

Collins was the television pool reporter when she asked Trump about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump’s former longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen. Trump did not answer her questions.

The “pool” is a small group of reporters who each day distribute comments and details about the president’s activities with other members of the press. Pool reporters generally ask the president questions when given the opportunity.

Meanwhile, Fox News President Jay Wallace said in a statement Wednesday the network stands “in strong solidarity with CNN for the right to full access for our journalists as part of a free and unfettered press.”
