The Obama administration continues to undermine immigration law, even admitting to flagrantly violating a court order against their de-facto amnesty multiple times.
In a recent midnight filing, the U.S. Department of Justice admitted that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security violated federal Judge Andrew Hanen’s injunction against President Obama’s executive order on immigration a second time, The Daily Signal reported.
Hanen sided last February with the 26 states suing the Administration over the executive order and ordered a halt on the implementation of Obama’s plan that would have essentially granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
The Justice Department had promised that no action would move forward on it, but the Obama administration has now admitted twice that they lied to the court in this case.
The first lie happened back in March when the Justice Department admitted that DHS had been issuing deferrals despite the court order.
According to the March filing, DHS issued three-year deferrals to more than 100,000 illegal immigrants going back to late November 2014.
The most recent filing, posted May 7, the Justice Department admitted that DHS sent another round of three-year work authorizations to another 2,000 illegal immigrants, according to the Daily Signal.
Both times the Justice Department has pleaded ignorance, claiming that they only discovered the violation of the injunction the day before the filing.
