D.C. man arrested for making child porn
D.C. police arrested a District man on charges of first-degree child abuse after detectives found images of a nude young girl on his laptop and digital camera.

Police arrested McKinley Ellie Hunt last week after they said a young girl told them she was inappropriately touched and photographed in sexually explicit poses at his residence on Fort Totten Drive in Northeast D.C. Police said they found dozens of images on Hunt’s camera and laptop.
Police said the conduct began when the girl was 7 years old, according to charging documents.
Parachute opened inside plane in deadly skydiving accident
A skydiving accident that killed a Fort Meade man was caused by a parachute that accidentally opened inside the airplane, Virginia State Police said.
Army Command Sgt. Maj. Harry Parrish, 53, was pulled out the plane’s door when his parachute opened during a training exercise near Richmond.
Four shot, one dead in Prince George’s County
Prince George’s County police say four people were shot, one fatally, early Tuesday at an apartment complex in Oxon Hill.
Police say officers responding to the 6400 block of Livingston Road for a report of a shooting found two men and two women suffering from gunshot wounds.
One man died, the other man was in critical condition. The two women suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The police have not released their names.
Police looking for witness
Arlington County police investigating a nearly fatal accident are asking a witnesses to come forward.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. July 24 at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Walter Reed Drive. Police said the driver ran a red light, struck another car and ran from the scene. Police video showed that a woman with long, dark hair witnessed the crash and may be able to help police.
