Ruth Bader Ginsburg explains her ‘not 100 percent sober’ comments during MSNBC interview

Lest you believe President Obama’s State of the Union address drove her to drink, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wants to set the record straight about not being “100 percent sober” when she was caught sleeping during the SOTU.

Ginsburg was interviewed by MSNBC Monday and explained her comments, saying that she really did only have one glass of one with dinner.

But her “pen was hot” the night before and she had stayed up all night writing, so that coupled with the wine just made her fall right asleep.

Or you could put it the way MSNBC’s Irin Carmon did — “So, you’re a lightweight?”
