Several people are reportedly dead after two military helicopters crashed in Kentucky on Wednesday.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m., according to WKDZ, which added that the two HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from Fort Campbell crashed during a routine training mission.

Authorities have not said how many people were killed or injured in the crash.

The collision happened between Bobby Light Road and Lancaster Road in Trigg County. That county is located just west of Fort Campbell in western Kentucky and is home to about 14,000 people.
Authorities arrived at the crash site about an hour after the crash was reported and are investigating the incident.

Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) confirmed the news about two hours after the crash.
“We’ve got some tough news out of Fort Campbell, with early reports of a helicopter crash and fatalities are expected. @kystatepolice, @KentuckyEM, and local officials are responding. We will share more information as available. Please pray for all those affected,” Beshear tweeted.
