We begin on Friday, July 24th,President Trump signs four executive orders with the goal of lowering prescription drug costs, including mandating discounts for insulin for hospitals to be passed down to patients and allowing cheaper versions of the same prescription drugs to be shipped from Canada.
Skipping ahead to Sunday, July 26th, after announcing he would throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium on August 15th, Trump tweets out that he’s canceling the appearance to focus on the coronavirus.

As you can imagine, if Trump doesn’t hit anything near the plate, the roasting would be fierce. But at least he can think about playing catch with Yankee legend Mariano Rivera.

Tuesday, July 28th, President Trump defends the controversial Dr. Stella Immanuel for her comments promoting the use of hydroxychloroquine on coronavirus patients and saying masks have no value.

Trump then visits Texas to promote America’s energy sector and shore up support as his Democratic opponent Joe Biden gains steam in the Lone Star state. Thursday, July 30th, President Trump takes to Twitter to vent his frustrations about mail-in voting, even positing that the 2020 election should be delayed, saying it “will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history.” He then walked back those remarks, telling reporters that he doesn’t want to see the election delayed, he just doesn’t want to see a “crooked election.”
After staying on message for a week, Trump begins to give his critics plenty of ammunition with his thoughts about delaying the 2020 election and promoting conspiracy theories. And yet, with all the gifts that Trump has given to Joe Biden, it’s difficult to think that Biden has the election in the bag.
