Fox News host Sean Hannity shared Friday promoted a book published by Jerome Corsi, Killing the Deep State, that claims that Hannity himself is the “next target of the deep state.”
“This is great news for me,” Hannity said while introducing the segment.
The “deep state” is a reference to a conspiracy theory about a behind-the-scenes bureaucracy controlling American politics.
“Wow, isn’t it so great to know that these corrupt officials with their backs against the wall that are desperate — desperate people do desperate things — the people who have the most powerful tools of intelligence, are now going after me?” Hannity said. “It doesn’t surprise me.”
“I promise you one thing. I’m never stopping,” he added.
