President Trump argued Wednesday that possible obstruction of justice charges against him are a “setup & trap,” and said the country should focus on the progress he’s making with North Korea and other issues instead of special counsel Robert Mueller’s “witch hunt.”
“There was no Collusion (it is a Hoax) and there is no Obstruction of Justice (that is a setup & trap),” Trump said in a tweet Wednesday morning. “What there is is Negotiations going on with North Korea over Nuclear War, Negotiations going on with China over Trade Deficits, Negotiations on NAFTA, and much more. Witch Hunt!”

Mueller’s intended questions for Trump were leaked this week, which Trump said was “disgraceful.”
Trump has argued for nearly a year now that Mueller’s probe is a distraction for his presidency that won’t result in any charges against him.
