Dennis Rodman says he guarantees Kim Jong Un will be in the US within two years

Basketball star Dennis Rodman said that he can “guarantee” North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit the U.S. within two years.

Rodman, 58, has close ties to both President Trump and Kim. He was a contestant on Trump’s show The Apprentice and has visited North Korea and Kim a number of times. Appearing on Fox News Thursday, the hall of fame athlete said he has had an affect on foreign relations between the two countries.

“I did have an of impact on some of the things that’s happening in North Korea,” Rodman said. “Donald Trump is doing a great job.”

Rodman said he thought Trump could come to an agreement with Kim about deescalating the hermit nation’s nuclear program.

“I think he can,” Rodman said. “People better watch out for this — Kim Jong Un will be in American in 18 to 24 months. I guarantee you.”

One of the hosts asked if Kim would be coming as a head of state or in order to defect.

“He’s coming to do one thing: to visit America,” Rodman said.
