Jim Jordan already winning speakers race 99-1

FreedomWorks, the grassroots conservative network, has been campaigning to build support for Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan to be the next speaker.

And it seems to be working. In a poll of 4,200 of its conservative members, Jordan won 99.2 percent of the vote against Republican House No. 2 Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

Trump’s trademark Sharpie scribble signature is on a “Trump Restaurants LLC” check to an employee, dated Dec. 18, 2013. Alexander Historical Auctions is offering it for sale this week and has placed a minimum bid on it of $3,000. Said the auction house, “What is particularly interesting is why, with thousands of employees under his control, Trump would have personally signed a $92.35 payroll check.” …

  • He was passed over for Treasury secretary, and seems interested in spearheading the reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but retiring House Financial Services Committee Chairman Rep. Jeb Hensarling seems set on returning to Texas. On CNBC, he said, “I plan to hop into the pickup truck, put Washington in the rear-view mirror and drive home.” …
