Man, woman, and dog discovered dead at house in Mississippi

The bodies belonging to a Mississippi man and woman, along with a dog, were found at a home on Tuesday evening.

Deputies visited the house in the city of Raymond and found a couple roughly in their 50s that they said they believe had been dead for several days, Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones told WLBT.

“As of right now, we don’t know exactly how they died,” Jones said.

At about 7 p.m., authorities showed up at the home to conduct a welfare check, according to Jones. Officials observed that both the front door and gate had been locked, leading to a forced entry.

While a gun was found at the scene, no shell casings were found, and investigators said they do not believe the weapon had been used, according to Jones.
