Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to testify before Congress: Report

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will have to testify before Congress in the next few weeks, according to sources at the tech company.

The sources told CNN Tuesday that Facebook is working on planning the strategy for his expected appearance.

The report indicates that pressure from lawmakers, media and the public is overwhelming and would not allow for anything less than Zuckerberg’s testimony before Congress.

The same Facebook sources believe that since Zuckerberg will be testifying, it will pressure Google and Twitter CEOs to do the same.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley formally invited Zuckerberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to testify in a hearing on data privacy April 10.
