Meghan McCain slams ‘misogynist’ Sanders: ’He has a problem with women’

The View host Meghan McCain ripped Bernie Sanders over recent remarks the Vermont senator made, which claim he told Sen. Elizabeth Warren that he does not believe a woman can become president in 2020.

“His supporters have a really bad reputation, meaning the Bernie Bros,” said McCain. “It’s actually one of the things that connects liberal pundits and conservative female pundits together is there’s just a level of misogyny. Look at Twitter, look at some of the accounts they do that is directed towards specifically women, specifically women in politics and specifically women in political commentary.”

Warren’s claim comes days after an internal memo circulated by Sanders’s campaign team instructed volunteers to attack Warren’s “affluent” voter base.

“He has a problem with women, and he has for a long time,” added McCain. “Look, I don’t want another misogynist as president.”

McCain also compared Sanders’s “problem with women” to former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s difficulty courting black voters.

Co-host Abby Hunstman recounted an experience she had with Sanders on Bill Maher’s Politically Incorrect where she felt ignored by the senator.

“I experienced it firsthand when I did the Bill Maher show,” said Abby Huntsman. “I was sitting on the Bill Maher panel with him, and I was young, I was like 24 or 25, and he was doing his thing and talking with hands like this, he basically didn’t even realize I was sitting there or existed.”
