President Trump on Monday called on Congress to quickly pass legislation to build his long-sought border wall, after it failed to do so in the $1.3 trillion spending bill it passed in March, and said tough border measures are needed to keep out “caravans” of illegal immigrants that are still coming to the U.S.
Trump also called for the “nuclear option” in the Senate, a rules change that would allow Republicans to pass the bill without giving Democrats a chance to stop it.
“Congress must immediately pass Border Legislation, use Nuclear Option if necessary, to stop the massive inflow of Drugs and People,” Trump said on Twitter. “Border Patrol Agents (and ICE) are GREAT, but the weak Dem laws don’t allow them to do their job. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!”

Trump is known to be frustrated by the failure of Congress to approve any spending for his border wall in March, which forced him to explain to his supporters that he would keep pushing for funding for the project. Reports over the weekend that more than 1,000 people were trying to enter the U.S. through Mexico prompted Trump’s border tweets on Sunday and Monday morning.
Trump also blamed Mexico for doing nothing to stop the migrants.
“Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large “Caravans” of people enter their country,” Trump tweeted. “They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws…..”

In a later tweet, Trump repeated that he will not approve any deal to legislate a new Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, until Democrats help him approve the wall.
DACA is dead because the Democrats didn’t care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon… No longer works. Must build Wall and secure our borders with proper Border legislation. Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!
