The nephew of The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur scoffed at Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw’s war wound and also claimed the U.S. deserved 9/11.
Hasan Piker, who works for his uncle’s liberal YouTube show, said of Crenshaw, “This guy has the understanding of foreign policy of, like, a 12-year-old. What the f–k? What the f–k is wrong with this dude?”
Piker said, “Didn’t he go to war and like literally lose his eye because some mujahideen — a brave f–king soldier — f–ked his eye hole with their d–k? Isn’t that how he f–king lost his dumbass eye, because he got his f–king eye hole f–ked, by a brave soldier?”

Crenshaw had recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, to which Piker was responding with his tirade. Crenshaw was a Navy SEAL who served three tours in Afghanistan, and lost his right eye in an IED explosion.

Piker said that the U.S. deserved the 9/11 terrorist attacks because of its “foreign policy decisions.”
we supplied arms to and trained bin laden. we destabilized the region long before 911. and now we’re stuck in perpetual war, which dan crenshaw was trying to justify in that clip. it’s exactly this kind of attitude that has sent thousands of young men and women overseas to die.

Crenshaw responded Wednesday evening, tweeting, “.@hasanthehun seems to confuse “Improvised Explosive Device” with some weird terrorist fantasy. Lol sorry for triggering you Hasan. You’re no Pete Davidson, stop trying so hard.”
Crenshaw was referencing a spat with Pete Davidson, in which the SNL comedian mocked his appearance. The two later reconciled on-air.
