Actor Alec Baldwin sarcastically accused Republican National Convention speakers of being on drugs during the second night of the event.
“Every ‘regular American’ on this convention program is high. We’re gonna raise taxes to pay for the staggering fuck up of the pandemic by Trump,” Baldwin tweeted Tuesday evening.

Among noted conservative speakers such as Melania Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, “regular Americans” also spoke during the second night of the convention, including dairy farmer Cris Peterson, Maine lobsterman Jason Joyce, and Ryan Holets, a police officer who adopted an opioid-addicted baby.
Baldwin went on to criticize speakers individually on Twitter, including Nicholas Sandmann, who was at the center of a controversy last year when he wore a “Make America Great Again” hat during a viral video of him and Native American activist Nathan Phillips.
“Nicholas Sandmann’s writer is good. Real good,” Baldwin wrote. “Always good to play the white Christian as victim card.”

“Looking back now, how could I possibly have imagined that the simple act of putting on that red hat would unleash the hate from the Left and make myself the target of network and cable news networks nationwide?” Sandmann said of the 2019 incident during his remarks at the RNC.
“Canceled is what’s happening to people around this country who refuse to be silenced by the far Left. Many are being fired, humiliated, or even threatened. Often, the media is a willing participant,” Sandmann said. “But I wouldn’t be canceled. I fought back hard to expose the media for what they did to me and won a personal victory. While much more must be done, I look forward to the day that the media returns to providing balanced, responsible, and accountable news coverage.”
Sandmann filed lawsuits against various news outlets for their coverage of the incident and settled with outlets such as CNN and the Washington Post this year.
“Dear Nicholas Sandmann,” Baldwin continued. “Trump receives the appropriate media coverage because he is a psychopath.”
He also criticized women who spoke during the convention for wearing too much makeup.
“These GOP women wear more eye makeup than KISS,” he tweeted.
