Trump: New York Times is a ‘fake news joke’

President Trump on Wednesday blasted the New York Times for writing another “false story,” and said the paper is a “joke.”

“The failing @nytimes writes false story after false story about me,” he tweeted. “They don’t even call to verify the facts of a story. A Fake News Joke!”

In a second tweet, Trump made it clear he was referring to a story that said Trump was being kept at “arm’s length” in the Senate healthcare talks.

“Some of the Fake News Media likes to say that I am not totally engaged in healthcare,” he tweeted. “Wrong, I know the subject well & want victory for U.S.”

His tweets came a day after his deputy press secretary, Sarah Sanders, blasted CNN for being a “disgrace” after a video surfaced showing one of its producers saying he believes press stories about Trump’s collusion with Russia was being overplayed for ratings.
