Presidential hopeful Andrew Yang is ready for the White House — or at least the White House’s bowling alley.
While meeting with voters in a bowling alley in Davenport, Iowa, this week, the 2020 Democrat laced up his bowling shoes to roll the ball toward the pins, something he claimed he hadn’t done in years. He wound up and sent the ball straight down the lane, knocking down all the pins in a perfect strike.

His supporters erupted with cheers. A reporter from the Quad-City Times noted that Yang claimed he “hasn’t bowled in forever” before leveling the pins.

Yang’s time at the bowling alley was part of his bus tour throughout Iowa as he continues to build momentum for his presidential bid.
The 44-year-old entrepreneur has surprised many with the success of his campaign. Yang is one of just seven candidates to make the cut for the Dec. 19 debate as the DNC continues to raise the barriers of entry to participate. The RealClearPolitics polling average shows him with 3.2% support nationwide, placing him ahead of Sens. Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar.
Bowling could be a good skill to have if Yang takes over the Oval Office in January 2021. The White House has a one-lane bowling alley in the basement that was built in 1947 under President Harry Truman. The bowling alley got a permanent place in the White House after being renovated under President Nixon.
