Seven children injured in bus accident

At least seven children suffered minor injuries when a bus collided with a sport utility vehicle in Vienna on Wednesday.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. in the intersection of Maple Avenue and Courthouse Road, Fairfax County officials said.

The children, between the ages of 5 and 7, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The students were traveling from Daniels Run Elementary.

Pedestrian killed on BW parkway

A pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car on the Baltimore Washington Parkway in Prince George’s County, according to U.S. Park Police.

Around 9 a.m., the adult male was trying to cross the northbound lanes of the parkway just south of Maryland Route 450 in Lanham, police said. He was struck by a northbound car. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

D.C. Investigates triple shooting

Three people were shot in Southeast Washington during the D.C. police All Hands On Deck initiative Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Savannah Street. Authorities said two women and a 17-year-old boy were each shot in the leg. No arrests have been made. The All Hands on Deck initiative requires that all 4,000 sworn officers patrol the streets during a 72-hour period.

FBI investigates med supply store

The FBI served a search warrant at two medical supply stores in D.C. on Tuesday.

Police carried records and computers from the Standard Medical Supply, 2041 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE, as part of a health care fraud investigation, authorities said. FBI agents also served a search warrant at another medical supplies store on 7600 Georgia Ave. NW.
