Michigan
reported they are more reluctant to vote for President
Joe Biden
a second time.

aired the panel discussion Sunday with voters who elected Biden in 2020. The panel included a black woman, another woman dressed in a keffiyeh, and a transgender woman. Two of the women were still undecided about who to vote for, with the election less than a year away.

“I’m not going to vote for a Republican,” Ashley Mitsch told host Kirsten Welker. “I’m trans. I feel like that’s almost, like — it’s almost like a death sentence. But when it comes to Democrats, I just don’t really see anyone who really feels like they’ll be a strong pick who is running.”
Mitsch went on to claim to be ‘very reluctantly’ voting for Biden in 2024.
“There’s no way I’m going to vote Republican, but reluctantly yes, I will vote Biden,” Shelly Whitehead said. She cited Biden’s age and his policy in the Middle East as reasons why she was reluctant.
When the panel was asked to describe Biden, some described him as “tired” and “out of it.”

Michigan voted for Biden only by a slight majority of 50.6% in 2020. That same year, one district replaced Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) for her Republican opponent Peter Meijer, who served one term before Scholten won her seat back in 2022.
The state is the third in the nation to hold its primary, after South Carolina and New Hampshire. A
