Charlamagne Tha God: Biden ‘might be suffering’ from ‘white entitlement and privilege’

Charlamagne Tha God, one of the hosts of “The Breakfast Club” podcast, accused 2020 presidential front-runner Joe Biden of “suffering” from “white entitlement and privilege.”

The radio host appeared on CNN Friday afternoon to discuss his take on the presidential field, many of whom he’s interviewed on the air. Earlier in the day, for example, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was on his program.

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin asked him if Biden had appeared on the show, and Charlamagne Tha God responded, “Joe Biden has offered to send his surrogate. So, that tells me a lot about what Joe Biden thinks about our audience.”

“I think Joe Biden might be suffering from that same white entitlement and privilege and ego where he’s just that old-school white male who feels like, ‘Hey, man, they need me, I don’t need them,'” he went on. “Or, ‘I got them already. So, yeah, my surrogate, my black male surrogate, you go talk to them.’ That’s not respect.”

Charlamagne Tha God went on to say that he would like to have Biden on his show and would like to ask the former vice president about the 1994 crime bill and the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988.
