Winter holiday celebrations are approaching, but one area bank robber apparently thinks it’s still Halloween. Loudoun County investigators are trying to figure out who robbed a Sterling bank at gunpoint earlier this month while wearing a Halloween mask.

The man also used an umbrella to try to hide his identity, the sheriff’s office said. </span></p> <p><span class=”BodyCopy”>At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans and white tennis shoes with a red stripe. No further description of the man was available.</span></p> <p><span class=”BodyCopy”>He was last seen running on foot toward Route 7, authorities said.
