A recent poll from
Rasmussen Reports
revealed that nearly half of all black people aren’t sure if it is OK to be white. It’s a disturbing reality that didn’t garner anywhere near the attention it should have, especially considering the attention it would have received if the results showed half of all white people claiming it was not OK to be black.
It’s indicative of the hypocrisy and double standard that exists on race in the country.
BLACK AMERICANS ONLY:
“It’s okay to be white.”
53% agree, 26% disagree, 21% not sure“Black people can be racist, too”
76% of agree, 27% disagree, 8% not sure. https://t.co/5pYBvT00qn— Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) February 22, 2023
According to the results of 1,000 adults asked by Rasmussen, 47% of black respondents either believe it is not OK to be white (26%) or are not sure (21%). That should be cause for concern. Assuming these results are legitimate, they show an alarming tendency toward race-based hatred and discrimination. The fact that it is against white people does not make it any more acceptable.
If the results showed white people harboring such sentiments about any other race in such large numbers, there would be widespread national outrage. There would be street protests and Democratic politicians warning of rampant white supremacy.
THESE STATES ARE THE LEADING THE CHARGE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE LEFT’S MARXIST AGENDA
This is the poisonous fruit of diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology, and it has been the Left’s fundamental objective all along. They never wanted racial equality, nor did they ever want black and white people to get along. In fact, the discord is sort of the point. The goal of their DEI policies is to create a permanently oppressed class whose discontent fuels
Marxist revolution
. The goal ever since the middle of the last century has been to influence black people to resent white people so they can manipulate that anger into political power and support for themselves.
During an inaugural address at the University of St. Andrews in 1867, British philosopher
John Stuart Mill said
, “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.” It’s an inspirational quote, often wrongly attributed to Edmund Burke. It offers a moral compass in times of crisis. Racism is always wrong, no matter whom it is directed against, and we all have an obligation to say so.
Many white people are afraid that if they discuss anti-white racism, they will be canceled. They fear that people will demonize them and call them bigots or racists. I’m not one of them. I would never countenance even for a second the idea that it’s not OK to be black, Asian, Latino, or Native American. It’s OK to be any race or ethnicity.
Racial equality isn’t as hard as Democrats make it out to be. It requires only that we all treat people of all colors, races, and ethnicities with the same decency, dignity, and respect. If people do this, all the racial tensions and animosity will disappear. As Dr. Martin Luther King said, judge people on their character’s content — don’t just write people off because of their skin color.
It is my fervent hope that we can eradicate all racism, bigotry, and discrimination from the planet. That entails calling out racism wherever we see it. And, of course, yes, it is “OK to be white” or to be part of any other race. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
