ESSEX, Md. (AP) — Police in Baltimore County say an eighth-grade student brought a gun to school, but the weapon was confiscated and no was injured.

Police say Stemmers Run Middle School in Essex was on lockdown Tuesday morning as police searched the building. The school will be dismissed at the regular time.
