The French Army tweeted out a photo of a soldier scrambling under some wires in the rain on Monday, referencing President Trump’s cancellation of plans to visit a World War I memorial during his trip to the country over the weekend.
The tweet says in French that there’s rain, but it’s not serious and they’re staying motivated.

Trump came under criticism for canceling a visit to a World War I memorial at Aisne-Marne American cemetery about 55 miles from Paris because of the rainy weather, even though leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel attended ceremonies.
Trump, who was in France for the centennial of the end of World War I, attended a ceremony despite inclement weather Sunday at Suresnes American Cemetery and Memorial, where more than 1,500 Americans are buried. He also did not visit Arlington Memorial Cemetery on Monday after returning to D.C.
