Joss Whedon, Chris Pine imagine if Congress was your coworker from hell

Star Trek” actor Chris Pine stars in a new video that mocks the ineffectiveness of Congress, and urges people to vote in the congressional elections.

The digital skit, released by “Avengers” director Joss Whedon’s super PAC, Save the Day, stars Pine as the boss from hell who terrorizes his coworkers in a parody of congressional tactics — poking fun at sequestration, climate change deniers and lobbyists.

Titled “What if Congress was your co-worker,” the video features Pine as “Leonard,” the physical manifestation of Congress. In an escalating series of office mishaps, Pine throws tantrums at the conference table, chucks snowballs at colleagues while shouting, “Science isn’t in the Bible!” and refuses to let a malfunctioning microwave get thrown away on account of a pyromaniac buddy who offered him money and a future job.

In the end, the entire office teams up against Pine to tell him that they voted him out of the job.

The video ends with text reading, “This November 8th, remember who’s boss.”
