D.C. chefs tapped for ‘Top Chef’

Three Washington chefs will compete for the title “Top Chef” this November — Dan O’Brien of Seasonal Pantry, Bart Vandaele of Belga Cafe, and personal chef Jeffrey Jew are headed to Seattle for the show’s 10th season. Bravo announced the lineup on Wednesday, adding that this year’s contest will go “back to basics, with culinary challenges that require a mastery of the primary skills of a chef.” (We hope this means no more chipping ingredients out of a block of ice a la “Top Chef: Texas.”)
