CPAC 2020: Gordon Chang and the US response to coronavirus

Larry O’Connor sat down with author and columnist Gordon Chang at the Washington Examiner broadcast booth at CPAC, the 2020 Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor, Maryland.

The two discussed what the U.S. government is doing to protect the nation from the continuing spread of the coronavirus. Chang pointed to the Trump administration’s early and highly criticized travel bans put into place in late January, which Chang says was helpful in preventing an outbreak here that nations like Italy and South Korea are now facing.

Chang also spoke of the current situation in China, where the epicenter of the city of Wuhan and Hubei province have been ravaged, saying that the world still doesn’t know the extent of the situation there due to China’s changing narrative and information control mechanisms.
