Trump gives his presidency an A+

President Trump said he would give himself an A+ if he had to rate his job performance as president so far.

“I give myself an A+. I don’t think any president has ever done what I’ve done,” Trump told Fox News in an interview that aired Thursday. “We haven’t even been two years, biggest tax cuts in history … The economy is the best it has ever been in history.”

Trump attributed his high grade to the economy, tax cuts, and job growth. He also gave himself a high rating due to his first Supreme Court nomination of Neil Gorsuch.

Trump said the only thing about his presidency he would rate poorly is the way that the press covers him.

“The only thing I’m doing bad in is the press doesn’t cover me fairly. I thought after I won — you know they killed me during the campaign, just killed me — I said, ‘Well one good thing about winning: I have showed them. So now I’m going to get fair press.’ Guess what? It got worse. It’s worse,” Trump said.

Mainstream media outlets and Trump have had strained relationships ever since his campaign where he claimed he was being covered inaccurately and called outlets such as CNN and the New York Times “fake news.”
