BREESE, Ill. (AP) — A southern Illinois coroner says a pedestrian killed by a suspected hit-and-run driver was a 23-year-old woman from Edwardsville.
Clinton County Coroner Phillip Moss says Lana Albert died at the scene of the accident early Sunday in Breese.
Police say officers responding to reports of a woman walking in and out of traffic on old U.S. 50 found Albert’s body.
Breese police are investigating and asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle’s driver.
