Watch: Trump clotheslines CNN in Twitter video

President Trump tweeted a video of himself tackling CNN’s logo edited onto WWE owner Vince McMahon’s head Sunday morning.

The video is from Wrestlemania 23 in 2007, when Trump appeared in a match touted as the “Battle of the Billionaires.” Trump and McMahon each picked a wrestler and the man whose wrestler lost would have to have his head shaved.

Trump’s wrestler, Bobby Lashley, beat McMahon’s Umaga and Trump helped shave McMahon’s head in the middle of the ring.

During the match, Trump clotheslined McMahon at ringside and the video showed that moment, but with CNN’s logo superimposed on McMahon’s head.

It’s unclear if someone in the White House produced the video or if it was a fan-produced video.

Trump has been in ongoing war of words with CNN for months and simply posted “#FraudNewsCNN #FNN” on the tweet.

In a statement, CNN called the tweet emblamatic of a “sad day” in American politics.

“It is a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters,” CNN said in a statement, “Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president has never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his healthcare bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”
