Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) claimed President Joe Biden’s administration is steered by left-wing progressives who are influencing the president and his policies.
Manchin said in a new interview that he believes Biden’s administration is being led by a group of “far, far-left liberals.”
Despite these administration members allegedly pushing Biden to the left, Manchin thinks Biden is a “good, decent man.”
And when it comes to the likely alternative, Manchin said the idea of former President Donald Trump returning to office is “very much concerning to every human being and every person who basically loves the country that we have, and the life that we have, and trying to have a future for our children and future generations.”

Manchin has been speculated to launch his own bid for the presidency in 2024, speculation he has kept alive by refusing to rule the possibility out. He added fuel to the fire in the latest interview, in which he said he could “absolutely” see himself as president.
The West Virginia senator revealed last year he wouldn’t be seeking reelection to the office but kept his plans vague. He has since launched a nationwide tour in states such as New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Georgia, where he claimed there is an appetite for him as a “fiscally responsible and socially compassionate” centrist.
