Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake received a critical endorsement from the Republican Party’s Senate campaign arm.
Lake, previously seen as the bane of the Republican establishment, has increasingly courted the group in recent months. This strategy appears to be paying off, with Lake scoring an endorsement from the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of Chairman Daines and the NRSC,” Lake told Politico in a statement. “We are uniting Republicans in Arizona and have a clear path to victory, The Senate Majority runs through Arizona.”
Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), the chairman of the NRSC, heaped praise on Lake in the statement, saying she was one of the best candidates in the country.
“Kari Lake is one of the most talented candidates in the country,” he said in a statement. “Kari is building out an effective campaign operation that has what it takes to flip Arizona’s Senate seat in November.”
Lake has adopted a very different strategy than that of her 2022 gubernatorial campaign, where she embraced her outsider status and shunned help from the GOP establishment. After her primary win, she bragged that she “drove a stake through the heart of the McCain machine.” The lack of support from the party could have been the decisive factor in her close defeat.

Her strategy in her 2024 senatorial campaign has been to reverse course and court the party establishment in Washington. The endorsement of the NRSC shows the benefits of this strategy and could prove vital to November’s election.
“I was very impressed with Kari when I met her,” Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) said. “She is laser-focused on unifying Arizona Republicans. The polls look good in Arizona for Trump and Lake.”
