Democrats are trying to terrorize children and young adults into a perpetual state of fear over climate change, and it is increasingly working, ruining people’s lives in the process.
Mental health experts and therapists are warning of an increasing number of cases of “climate anxiety.” As Bloomberg describes it, “in most critical cases, climate anxiety disrupts the ability to function day to day. Children and young people in this category feel alienation from friends and family, distress when thinking about the future and intrusive thoughts about who will survive, according to [psychotherapist Caroline] Hickman’s research. Patients obsessively check for extreme weather, read climate change studies and pursue radical activism.”
The key part of that quote comes at the end. “Patients obsessively check for extreme weather, read climate change studies and pursue radical activism.” The point is to recruit more young people into the Democratic Party’s activist ranks so those children activists can go try and shame senators and so Democrats can shame people for “attacking” children when they try to respond to the partisan talking points those children are parroting.
That means lying to children and young adults and telling them things such as, for example, the world is going to end in 12 years. That is a United Nations talking point parroted by social media influencer Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). (We are supposedly down to seven years, now, if you are keeping track). Coincidentally, the way to save the world is always to pass whatever economic policies that Democrats want, such as “the Green New Deal,” while also ignoring the fact that any policies that do not address China’s pollution and emissions are useless in the grand scheme of things.

Imposing this fear on children and then claiming that it is totally reasonable and not “internal,” as some of the therapists Bloomberg interviewed claim, is absurd and destructive. Forcing people into electric vehicles isn’t going to save the planet, especially when China’s emissions continue to rise. Forcing people to stop using plastic bags isn’t going to save the planet; if anything, it makes pollution worse.
Children and young adults are being lied to and, in the process, wrecking their own lives with unnecessary stress and poor decisions based on faulty premises, all so Democrats can chase political power. It is irresponsible and destructive, and by no means should pundits or mental health experts treat it as something that is normal or reasonable.
