Gretchen Whitmer puts lives at risk by dining in large group at indoor bar

Michigan currently has the honor of being the state with the highest COVID-19 death rate, and yet, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer thought it was a good time to violate her own orders and gather indoors with a large group of people.

How many lives did she put at risk by congregating with more than a dozen others inside a bar?

Breitbart News published a photo on Sunday of Whitmer smiling with 12 people at the Landshark in East Lansing. The picture was reportedly posted first on Facebook by one of the others in attendance.

After being caught doing something that the rest of us commoners once knew as “fun,” Whitmer confessed her sin and apologized. “Yesterday, I went with friends to a local restaurant,” she said in a statement (shameful). “As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together” (despicable).

Whitmer’s grotesque display at the bar violates her orders against indoor gatherings that state “no more than 6 patrons [be] seated together (at a table, booth, or group of fixed seats), and groups of patrons do not intermingle,” according to Breitbart.

What an inconsiderate monster.

Am I doing this right?

Democrats and liberals in the media have spent the last year berating anyone who dared to be social, so it’s only right that the favor is returned.

It’s not as if Whitmer’s hypocrisy is unexpected, though. It’s entirely predictable because everyone who swears to be “following the science” and “protecting others” has proven to be a flagrant liar.

We’ve seen Democrats behaving this way throughout the pandemic. They tell everyone to lock themselves up at home until the government and CNN say it’s safe to come out, then they go get a haircut. That’s what Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot did.

President Joe Biden was jetting across the country to promote his $2 trillion welfare package (sometimes referred to as “COVID relief”) even as his own Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had advised against “non-essential travel.”

John Kerry, Biden’s “climate envoy,” was photographed last month aboard an airplane without a mask on.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio oversaw the closure of gyms. Then, he went to the gym.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi enjoyed a nice, private visit to the salon in San Francisco last year, even though salons had been forced to be closed. She wore no mask.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom banned indoor restaurant dining, then went and had a fun, maskless time with a group of friends and lobbyists indoors at a restaurant. Masks? Nah.

None of them should have to apologize for behaving like normal people. They should apologize to the rest of us for demanding that we not.
