A man was falsely accused of yelling a racial slur. “Woke” employees of the organization rushed to judgment after mishearing the fan. As we now live in an era of MLB name changes, I propose the Colorado Rockies be the latest MLB franchise to change its name. One suggestion: the Colorado Jussie Smolletts.

The Colorado Jussie Smolletts would signify a proud representation of the latest trend by the MLB of finding racism where it simply does not exist. And, after the latest controversy over the team mascot, the name embodies everything about false claims of racism. Lest we forget, it was the Colorado team that benefited from the MLB making a change to the location of the All-Star Game from Atlanta because the MLB supposedly found racism in newly passed Georgia election laws its officers hadn’t even read. Now, mere weeks after the midsummer classic, the Colorado baseball team sought to find another example of racism where it did not exist.
