Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for the 2024 presidential election, saying that “what he’s done is stand up for freedoms.”
While discussing the condition of America’s leadership with actress Gina Carano, Rogan called President Joe Biden “a dead man as president,” prompting Carano to ask whom Rogan would support in 2024.
“Are you throwing out any support towards anyone or are you going to hold off and — didn’t Elon Musk come out recently for DeSantis?” Carano asked.

“Ron DeSantis would work as a good president,” the podcaster said. “What he has done for Florida has been admirable.”
Rogan noted that DeSantis has received a lot of criticism for his decisions regarding education and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Ultimately, he was correct,” Rogan said. “He was correct when it comes to, like, deaths. He was correct when it comes to protecting our vulnerable populations. He was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies, and he was furious when the government tried to pull those. They were trying to pull very effective treatments.”

“You know, he is not perfect. He’s a human being,” Rogan said. “But what he’s done is stand up for freedoms.”
The podcast host questioned the reasoning of those who have criticized DeSantis’s support for freedom.
“People think that there’s some weird gaslighting s*** that went on where people equated freedom and saying the word ‘freedom’ to, like, right-wing bigotry and hate,” Rogan said. “It is so strange.”
Musk threw his support behind DeSantis earlier this month after revealing he voted Republican for the first time with a vote for Mayra Flores.
“Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk wrote.
When asked who he would support for the 2024 presidential election, Musk tweeted, “DeSantis.”
