ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos is catching heat for editing a verbal slip-up made by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer when he said, “Donald John Trump incited the erection.”
"Make no mistake, there will be a trial, and when that trial ends, senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the erection … insurrection against the United States," Schumer said while addressing the Senate Friday.
On Sunday, ABC aired a clip of the comments, but it was seamlessly edited so the blunder was deleted, and the correct word “insurrection” was used.
"Senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the insurrection,” the clip said.

The edited video was spread on social media, with some condemning it as an example of how the media is biased.

Other commenters said the video was a “blatantly dishonest communist move,” while another said that “fake news covers for their leaders once more.”
ABC did not immediately return the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
