Under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t feel the need to question what happened inside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home last Friday. But now that Democrats have assigned responsibility for David DePape’s brutal hammer attack on Paul Pelosi to MAGA Republicans, this strange incident has become our business. And like any defendant, we are entitled to some answers.
First, Democrats need to explain why they are tying the actions of a mentally ill, drug-addicted madman to us. And second, they need to explain what exactly happened between DePape and Pelosi.
ELECTION FIGHTS PLAY OUT IN COURTS BEFORE MIDTERMS
Democrats and the legacy media are portraying DePape as a right-wing conspiracy theorist who was inspired to break into the Pelosi home and fracture the skull of the Speaker’s 82-year-old husband after listening to the supposedly violent political rhetoric of MAGA Republicans. After speaking with DePape’s neighbors and acquaintances, however, independent journalist Michael Schellenberger concluded he was “more in the grip of drug-induced psychosis than ideology-induced fanaticism.” One neighbor told him that DePape leaned to the Left. Prior to this incident, he lived in an abandoned school bus with a Black Lives Matter sign in the back window and an LGBT flag in the front.
Pelosi Husband AttackedAttempts to review DePape’s online presence proved futile because this material was removed from the internet shortly after news of the attack broke. Fox News reported: “Facebook disabled DePape’s profile early Friday and declined to answer questions. At least two online blogs under DePape’s name are stocked with posts from the years of 2007 and 2022 speaking of ‘censorship,’ ‘Big Brother,’ and pedophiles. One contained calls for violence and antisemitic content. It was not immediately clear that he was responsible for the posts, and San Francisco police did not immediately respond to questions about DePape’s online presence.”
Why not leave this information up if it proves that DePape had been influenced by right-wing rhetoric?
Is it so hard to believe that someone other than a Trump supporter would wish Nancy Pelosi ill? There’s not a lot to like about her. She is a very unpopular and polarizing figure. According to RealClearPolitics, the Speaker’s favorability is underwater by 20.7%, a figure surpassed only by that of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
It should be noted that threats against lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are an everyday occurrence in Washington, D.C. In June, the Capitol Police reported there had been nearly 10,000 threats made against lawmakers in 2021.
Regardless, no one is responsible for the actions of a mentally unbalanced man with conflicting political views, who would have been deported had California officials not chosen to offer him sanctuary, except for that man himself, and maybe also the Capitol Police officers assigned to Paul Pelosi’s detail who failed to stop the alleged break-in.
However, even the Capitol Police’s role in the Pelosi attack is difficult to understand because it’s impossible to get a straight story about what took place that night. There’s been so much misinformation about the incident that it’s starting to look like an effort to conceal the truth. We need to see the body camera footage of the officers who responded to the call, any surveillance camera video available, and we ought to be able to listen to the audio of Pelosi’s 911 call.
Pelosi Husband AssaultedFor example, in the audio of communications between the SFPD dispatcher and a police car, the dispatcher said, “RP [Paul Pelosi] stated that there’s a male in the home and that he’s going to wait for his wife. RP stated that he doesn’t know who the male is, but he advised that his name is David and that he is a friend. RP sounded somewhat confused.”
How did Pelosi know his attacker’s name was David? Is it normal for someone to break into a home and introduce themselves? Why did Pelosi tell the dispatcher he didn’t know the suspect but then say he was a friend? Weird, huh?
Releasing the video and the audio would go a long way to answering these types of questions and ending speculation. Unfortunately, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins has decided to keep this information private.
Americans of all stripes are becoming wise to the Democrats’ proclivity for gaslighting, a tactic they’ve relied upon repeatedly since Trump came on the scene. But if they insist on tying this crime to MAGA Republicans, we need to see the evidence.

If they don’t yet realize the time of trusting the corrupt, radicalized leadership of the Democratic Party is over, they’ll surely figure it out next week when they get crushed by the unstoppable red wave that’s coming their way.
