Vice President Kamala Harris will almost certainly become the Democratic nominee now that President Joe Biden has announced he is withdrawing from the race. That makes the fact that she lied to the public about Biden’s condition all the more galling.

Harris has repeatedly told voters there is nothing to be concerned about regarding Biden’s age. Citing the time she has spent with him “in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room and other places,” Harris said Biden is “extraordinarily smart.” She has said she works with Biden every day and he “is going to be fine.” Biden is “tireless,” she told us, and it is “wrong on the facts” to say Biden has a poor memory.
