Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin may not want to open the latest issue of the Islamic State’s propaganda magazine, Dabiq.
According to reports, the terrorist group has branded Abedin and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison as “overt crusaders” and “politically active apostates” who “involve themselves in the politics and enforcing laws of the kurf [disbelievers].”
Abedin and Ellison are both Muslim.
The latest issue of the magazine also puts targets on British politicos Muhammad Abdul Bari, Sayeeda Warsi, Waqar Azmi, Sajid Javid and Ajmal Masroor. The magazine celebrates the recent deadly terror attacks in Brussels.
“As millions of faithful Muslims flee Daesh’s imposed nightmare they call a ‘caliphate,’ D’aesh takes the time to threaten Muslim public servants in the West, like myself and my friend Huma Abedin,” Ellison said in a statement, using the Islamic State’s Arabic acronym to identify the group.
“D’aesh is a collection of liars, murderers, torturers and rapists. No Muslim I know recognizes what they preach as Al-Islam,” Ellison added. “The fact that I’m on D’aesh’s bad side means I am fighting for things like justice, tolerance and a more inclusive world.”
